Body

Important: If you are trying to access your personal, web, or shared data network drive on either Ellensburg campus or connected via VPN, follow these steps.

If you have not installed the VPN software yet, please follow this knowledge base article ⇒ VPN Instructions

Mapping Drives on a Mac

Step one: From the Finder:

Hit Command+K on the keyboard -OR-

Click on the Go Menu and choose Connect to Server at the bottom.

Step Two: In the box that pops up, you'll need to enter the server address of the network drive you need to connect to.

Due to security policies, please contact the Service Desk at 509-963-2001 or servicedesk@cwu.edu for the server addresses.

Step Three: Click Connect

Step Four: You will be prompted to login with your CWU credentials (user name and password)

Step Six: Click Connect

Once the drive is mapped an icon will show up on the desktop. If you drag the icon to the far right of the dock, the drive can be easily reconnected by clicking that icon on the dock. Make sure the icon is on the right side of the line on the dock. I’ve attached an additional capture showing the line.
