Please note:
 
  • The hostreg.resnet.cwu.edu website is only available when connected to the CWU Residence Hall network (Ellensburg campus).
     
  • If you're off campus or using a mobile hotspot, you won’t be able to access the site.
 
 

Register Your Smart TV
 

  1. Determine your connection type:
     
  • Decide whether your TV will connect via Wi-Fi or Ethernet. This determines which MAC address you'll use.

     
  1. Locate the MAC address:
     
  • Find your MAC address using the instructions for your specific TV brand (see below).

 

  1. Register your device:
     
  • From your smart TV that's connected to the CWU Residence Hall network, visit hostreg.resnet.cwu.edu and enter your TV's MAC address.
     

 

Apple TV MAC Address

 

  1. With your Apple TV remote, go to the menu on your Apple TV and select Settings
     
  2. In the settings menu, select About.
     
  3. Your MAC address will be listed as either Wireless ID or Ethernet ID, depending on your connection type.
The Apple TV Ethernet and Wireless network MAC addresses can also be found on the serial number label on the Apple TV box as Ethernet ID and Wireless ID.

 

 

Google Chromecast with Google TV MAC Address

 

  1. From the Google TV home page, open Settings.
     
  2. Navigate to System > About.​​​​​ > Status.
     
  3. The MAC address will be shown on screen.

Roku TV MAC Address

 

  1. Go to Home.
     
  2. Navigate to Settings > System > About.
     
  3. The MAC address will be shown on screen as Ethernet MAC address or Wireless MAC address.

     

Seiki TV MAC Address

 

  1. Open Settings.
     
  2. Navigate to Setup Network > IP address.
     
  3. Wireless and Ethernet (wired) MAC addresses will be shown on screen.

     

Sharp MAC Address

 

  1. Press the Menu on the remote.
     
  2. Navigate to Initial Setup > Network Setup > Connection Type.
     
  3. Select Wired or Wireless, depending on your connection.
     
  4. Select IP Setup.
     
  5. The MAC Address will be shown on screen.

     

Sony MAC Address

 

  1. Open Settings.
     
  2. Navigate to Network & Internet > Status > View Network Status.

 

Vizo MAC Address

 

  1. Press the Menu on the remote.
     
  2. Navigate to Network > Network Connection > Manual Setup.
     
  3. The MAC address will be displayed at the bottom of the menu.
