Registering your Gaming Console on Resnet (Wired Ethernet Connection)

In order to register your gaming console, you must first retrieve the MAC (Ethernet) Address from the console.

To find the MAC address for your gaming console, follow this article: Finding the MAC Address on your Gaming Console.

Note: If you Need Assistance for A Specific Console Follow this Guide: https://www.cwu.edu/student-life/housing/resources/resnet/resources/game-consoles.php

Once you have the MAC address, plug the network cable into a computer that has already been registered on ResNet via wired connection (ethernet).

Step One: Navigate to hostreg.resnet.cwu.edu (The site may come up as untrusted. Go ahead and add and confirm the security exception).

Enter your MyCWU Credentials, then click the Login button. NOTE! for Username - enter ONLY your Username.  Not your whole email address - or your alias (firstname.lastname). If you attempt to login with either of these you will receive an error message that says, "Unexpected Error."

Step Two: There will be a field asking for an 'Ethernet Address'. Enter the MAC address from above into this box.

Step Five: Once you have done this, wait approximately 15 minutes.

Step Six: Plug the network cable into the gaming console and restart the console completely. The gaming console should be able to access the Internet now.
