This article outlines the steps included in accessing the VPN and gaining access to the CWU campus network remotely on both iOS and Android devices.
iOS compatibility: 10 or later
Android Compatibility: 5.0 or later
iOS Instructions
Step One: Head to the App Store and search for "GlobalProtect", install the app.
Step Two: Open the app and in the text entry box underneath "address" enter "remote.cwu.edu".
Step Three: You will then be prompted to allow the app to make changes to your device's VPN settings, press allow. Afterward it will ask you for your iOS device passcode - enter it.
Step Four: Enter your CWU credentials at the login screen
Step Five: Once successfully connected to the VPN, you will see a confirmation screen.
Android Instructions
Android Instructions
Step One: Head to the Google Play search for "Global Protect", download and install it.
Step Two: Read the User Agreement, then click “OK” on the pop up.
Step Three: Open the app and in the text entry box enter "remote.cwu.edu".
Step Four: You may see a screen asking to “Select Certificates” - you can click Deny.
Step Five: Enter your CWU credentials at the login screen
Step Six: On the Connection request, read the pop up then click “OK”
