You may see the following error while trying to access Kaltura, Panopto or other integrated vendors via your Canvas course site:

• Your browser is blocking third-party cookies which are required to view and manage videos in Kaltura...

You need to enable third-party cookies to use many integrated products. This is because they need to communicate with Canvas to verify who you are and where you want to store your data. There are instructions at the following links to enable third-party cookies just for a specific site, if you want to enable them just for Kaltura.

Enabling third-party cookies

Follow the instructions for your browser (if you are using a different browser than the ones listed below, please conduct an Internet search with your browser's name and "enabling 3rd Party Cookies" as the keywords):

  1. Scroll down to the Change Your Cookie Settings heading.
  2. Click Allow or Block Cookies for a Specific site.
  3. Follow steps given in the article.

  • Make sure the Prevent cross-site tracking option is unchecked.
