Connecting to CWU-Wildcats WiFi - Chromebooks

Summary

 

This article explains how to manually connect a Chromebook to the CWU-Wildcats Wi-Fi network.

 

 

Connect to CWU-Wildcats Wi-Fi

 

  1. Click the Wi-Fi icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen, then click on the Settings gear icon.

Click the gear icon to open Chromebook settings for manual Wi-Fi setup.

 

  1. Click on Network from the left menu, then click Add WiFi.

 


Click Add Wifi.

 

  1. Enter the following Wi-Fi Settings and click Connect:

 

  • SSID: CWU-Wildcats

  • Security Type: WPA2 Enterprise

  • EAP Method: PEAP

  • Phase 2 (or inner) Authentication: MSCHAPv2

  • Certificates: None, Do Not Validate, or Unspecified

  • Identity: CWU username (do not include @cwu.edu)

  • Password: Your MyCWU password

  • Anonymous Identity: Leave blank

Fill in the network details and click Connect to join CWU-Wildcats.

 

 

Troubleshooting

 

If all information is entered correctly but you receive an error configuring network message:
 

  • Close all open applications

  • Restart your Chromebook

  • If CWU-Wildcats does not automatically connect after restarting, open Wi-Fi settings and click Connect.
