•    Disable your wireless printer's “Direct Print” function.
Most wireless printer will come with direct print or ad hoc printing enabled by default. Please review the manufactures directions on how to disable wireless printing for your particular printer. After disabling this feature you should use a USB cable to print.

•    Try connecting your device to the 5GHz band.
If your device will let you set your setting to prefer 5GHz over 2.4GHz. This may or may not be possible with every device so do some research. The reason is 5GHz is less likely to be congested.

•    Discontinue or limit the use of devices that interfere with the wireless network.
Devices such as Microwave ovens, Bluetooth (keyboards, mice, headsets and controllers) all operate on the same 2.4GHz frequency the wireless networks uses and have been known to reduce the wireless signal in the immediate area.
