CWU VOICE MAIL, Setting up and initializing your new CallXpress Mailbox

Summary

 

This article will assist you in setting up a CWU Voicemail box. NOTE! This process will only work if our Telecom staff have been notified of a change or new assignment of an extension number. This is done with a VeraSmart / Calero ticket request. See your Department administrator for assistance.

 

Steps

 

  1. You must initialize your CallXpress Mailbox in order to use it.  You may change your greetings and passwords as often as you wish once the mailbox has been initialized.  The following directions are the steps necessary to initialize your Mailbox.

  2. LISTEN CAREFULLY TO THE SYSTEMS PROMPTS AND MESSAGES. From your office phone DIAL 2400 or press the message button on your phone.

     

  3. After the system answers enter your temporary security code when prompted to. Your temporary security code will be sent to you or the person who requested your mailbox via email.
  4. You will then be prompted to enter your own new security code. Your password may be from six to fifteen digits long, make it a number easy for you to remember but difficult for others to figure out.  Avoid using simple number combinations. 
  5. For confirmation re-enter your security code.
  6. Record your name.
  7. Record your personal greeting.
  8. You must hear the system tell you “Congratulations you have successfully completed the set up for your mailbox” to complete system setup. 
Remember if there hasn't been a Telecome request, this process will not work for you or your extension number.
