This project will implement the Via Global application, which will be replacing Horizons. Via Global is an application and information management system that will help CWU Education Abroad manage the students who apply to and participate in education abroad programs. Education Abroad is making this move to Via Global because Via Global offers more customizable applications than Horizons and the current data feed between PeopleSoft and Horizons often has issues.
CWU’s project team will work with Via TRM’s implementation team on this project to configure, test, and implement Via Global, set up integration with PeopleSoft, build single sign on, and deliver appropriate training. Since the contract with Symplicity, Horizon’s vendor, ends July 31, 2025, the goal of this project will be to go live with Via Global prior to the end of July to have some system overlap and ease the transition to new application.
