Install Zoom on Windows 10

Summary

 This article is going to walk you through the sets on how to install Zoom on Windows 10, 11, and Mac. You will need to sign-in using your MyCWU account and use the free app option. All Students/Faculty/Staff have access to zoom with their MyCWU credentials. 

 

 

Steps for Windows 10 and 11.

 

  1. Go to zoom.us/download and under the Zoom Desktop Client header, click the Download button

 

 

 

 

 

 

   

2 . Once the download finishes, click on the Zoominstaller.exe file to begin the installation process.

                   

 

 

  3. The Zoom client should now be installed, You can either now choose "Join a Meeting" which will let you join a call with the meeting ID or personal link name, "Sign In" , or sign up for a Zoom account.

Steps for Mac 

 

  1. Go to zoom.us/download and under the Zoom Desktop Client header, click the Download button for Apple Silicon

 


       2. Once the download finishes, click on the ZoomusinstallerFull.pkg file to begin the installation process

      3. You will get an installer window pop up which will ask you on page 2, if you want to install this software for all users or for your specific account. Once you pick an option and hit Continue, Zoom will finish installing and the desktop app will auto open.

      4. Once you are in the Zoom app, click "Sign In" or sign up for a Zoom account.

Troubleshooting

 

  • If you aren't able to sign in with your MyCWU credentials, please click on the SSO option (Key Icon) and sign in
