How to set a meeting in Outlook 365

This article guides you through the process of how to use the Zoom plugin and create Zoom and in-person meetings in Outlook Classic. 

 

 

Checking for Zoom Plugin

To check whether your computer has the zoom plugin installed, complete the following steps:

Step One: Open Outlook Classic

 

Step Two: Select File.

 

Step Three: Select Options near the bottom of the far left menu. 

 

Step Four

  1. Select Add-ins in the far left menu. 
  2. Search for Zoom Outlook Plugin in the Active Application Add-ins section or Inactive Application Add-ins section. 

 

 

How to Create Meetings with Zoom

Step One: Open Outlook Classic.

 

Step Two:

  1. Select the down arrow to the right of New Email.
  2. Select Meeting in the dropdown menu. 

 

Step Three: Enter the name, attendees, schedule, and description of the meeting in the following window.

 

Step Four: Select Schedule a Meeting

 

Step Four:

  1. Enter information within the following menu for your Zoom meeting. 
  2. Select Save.

 

Step Five

  1. Check for URL of the meeting in the Location section. 
  2. Check for the description of the meeting below your description that includes: 
  •  Meeting URL
  •  Meeting ID
  •  Passcode

 

Step Six: If all the information of the meeting is correct, select Send

 

 

How to Create In-Person Meetings

Step One: Open Outlook Classic.

 

Step Two:

  1. Select the down arrow to the right of New Email.
  2. Select Meeting in the dropdown menu. 

 

Step Three

  1. Enter the name, attendees, schedule, location, and description of the meeting in the following window.
  2. Once completed, select Send.
