If you need to have a temporary bypass for MFA on your account, you can request one using the steps below. This is limited to 2 requests every 30 days.
Step 1: Visit https://my.cwu.edu/ and select Sign-In on the top right.
Step 2: Below the login fields, select the Click here for Self-Service.
Step 3: On the Self-Service Portal, select Troubleshoot MFA
Step 4: The Microsoft login will appear and enter your CWU Email Login (Username@cwu.edu, not the first.lastname address).
Step 5: You will be brought back to the CWU portal and sign in with your CWU Email Login
Step 6: The Registered MFA Methods and Temporary Bypass sections will appear. Select Request Bypass at the bottom of the page. This will be active for 48 hours and only two requests can be submitted within 30 days. For additional bypasses or extensions, please contact the Service Desk at 509-963-2001.
