Please note: To register for ResNet, you must be in a residence hall or campus apartment and have the following:
	- Access to a device with a web browser
- The device you want to register (this may be the same one with the web browser)
- Your Microsoft login (used for Canvas, MyCWU, Office, etc.)

This article guides you through registering gaming consoles on the ResNet network.
 
 
Register Gaming Console on ResNet
 
	- Open a web browser on a device with Internet access. Go to: http://hostreg.resnet.cwu.edu
 
Please note: This site is only accessible from Residence Halls on the main CWU Campus.
 
 
	- You may see a security warning. Select the option to continue to the site.
 
	- Log in using your credentials (used for Canvas, MyCWU, etc.).
 

Enter credentials.
 
If you haven't set up your password, contact the Service Desk at (509) 963-2001 or visit the Samuelson lobby.
 
 
	- If you're registering a device for the first time, you'll be asked to take a quiz on the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). It's multiple choice and you can retake it until you pass.
 
	- Answer all 20 questions, click Submit Quiz, and then select Go to HostReg if you pass.
 
	- Click the Add New Device button in the upper right corner of the HostReg page.
 

Click Add New Device.
 
	- On the Add New Device page, follow these prompts:
 
	- Choose a device category: Select “Any device that will connect with a physical cable.”
- Enter the MAC address:

- Enter the MAC address in the box. It will show a green border if valid.
- Need help? Call the Service Desk at (509) 963-2001 or visit the Samuelson lobby.
 
- Select the device type: Use the dropdown menu to choose the best match.
- Review the AUP: Check the box confirming you agree to its terms.
- Click “Add Device.”
 
	- Wait 15 minutes and fully restart your device.
