Updating Your Personal Information in MyCWU

Summary

 

It is critical that you keep your personal information up to date with CWU. This includes your phone number and personal email address. CWU uses this information to provide you with account access support and emergency notifications. Follow this guide to update your information or use this link to a short video tutorial.

 

 

Steps for Students

Step One: Enter my.cwu.edu in the search bar.

 

Step Two: Select Sign In in the upper right corner. 

 

Step Three

  1. Enter your CWU username (Example: Username@cwu.edu).
  2. Select Next.

      3. Enter your CWU password.

      4. Select Sign in.

Note: If you are unsure what your credientials are, click on Forgot Password or visit the Changing Your MyCWU Password article.

 

Step Four: If you are a student, click the Student tab.

 

Step Five: Select the Personal tab in the sidebar menu

 

Step Six: Select the tab within the dropdown menu containing the information you wish to update (phone number, emergency contact, name, etc.).

 

 

Steps for Employees

Step One: Enter my.cwu.edu in the search bar.

 

Step Two: Select Sign In in the upper right corner. 

 

Step Three

  1. Enter your CWU username (Example: Username@cwu.edu).
  2. Select Next.

      3. Enter your CWU password.

      4. Select Sign in.

Note: If you are unsure what your credientials are, click on Forgot Password or visit the Changing Your MyCWU Password article.

 

Step Four: Select the Employee tab.

 

Step Five:

  1. Select the Personal tab in the sidebar menu.
  2. Select Personal Details in the dropdown menu. 

 

Step Six: Once you arrive to the new page, select the tab within the sidebar menu containing the information you wish to update (addresses, emergency contacts, name, etc.).

Note on updating email address: Without a personal email address listed, the Service
Desk will be unable to assist you with account updates.

To update your email address, visit the CWU Service Desk in-person, or by attending a Zoom Call with the Service Desk to verify your identity.

 

 

FAQ

Question: What is the difference between signing into MyCWU with usernames vs aliases?

  • Usernames: Will work when signing into MyCWU. They contain your last name and the initial of your first name (Example: The name Central Wildcat would be WildcatC@cwu.edu).
  • Aliases: Will NOT work when signing into MyCWU. They contain your full first and last name (Example: first.last@cwu.edu)

 

  • If you are continuously experiencing issues with signing into MyCWU, please call the CWU Service Desk at 509-963-2001.
