Preferred Name Change for Students

Summary

 

This article guides students through the process changing their preferred name in MyCWU and displaying name of their email (not the address).

 

 

Steps

Step One: Visit my.cwu.edu.

 

Step Two: Select Sign In in the top right corner.

Step Three:

  1. Enter your CWU username (Example: Username@cwu.edu).
  2. Select Next.

 

Step Four

  1. Enter your CWU password.
  2. Select Sign in.

 

Step Five: Select the Student tab. 

 

Step Six:

  1. Select the Personal in the navigation bar on the left hand side
  2. Select Names in the dropdown menu. 

 

Step Seven

  • Select Add a new name to add a new name.

 

  • Or click the pencil icon in the chart to edit name (select Save once you complete editing your name).
